I didn't have a willpower problem. I had an alone problem.
I'm Hilary. Certified health and wellness coach, Navy veteran, 20 years of corporate HR, and a professional hater of vegetables. Bold stance for someone in my field. I stand by it. (When I'm not coaching, I'm out walking with my buddy Baxter. 🐾)
I had my daughter in my 40s, and let me tell you: the belly fat showed up like it had a key and the motivation left without a note. Nothing stuck until I found the missing ingredient: community. So I became it.
I ran an accountability group for six years. Through job changes, family chaos, and an entire pandemic. In an industry where most people quit in four weeks, my members stayed four-plus YEARS.
Then in 2023, that community ended overnight. Not because the women left. Not because it stopped working. But because it was built on ground that belonged to someone else, and they changed the rules.
And I felt it. Not just as a coach who lost a group. As a woman who lost the one place where someone noticed if she showed up.
So I'm building it again. This time on ground that's ours, where nobody can change the rules on us… because we're the ones making them.
And I'm not coaching from a mountaintop. I've got the same changing hormones as you, the same crowded calendar, the same occasional Netflix gravitational pull. I'm in it with you.
